Old town
walking tour
Our walking tour begins at the railway station and leads us to the "Außenalster"
and to the world famous "Atlantic Hotel". We step forward to the "Lombardsbrücke" and the "Glockengießerwall", enjoy a breathtaking view over the entire "Binnenalster"
and walk thru the "Spitalerstrasse" to the well-liked and longest shopping mile of Hamburg, the "Mönckebergstrasse".
One of the sights, which the „Mö“ offers amongst the manifold possibilities for shopping, is the oldest main church of Hamburg, St. Petri. We stop here for a short sightseeing.
At the end of the shopping mile the uncompareable and legendary town hall is situated, which is build in the neo-renaissance style. The sightseeing of the town hall is in the walking tour included.
Along the Venetian-like"Alsterarkaden" and the biggest intra-urban
and most modern shopping arcade of Europe we go to the "Binnenalster"
across the "Jungfernstieg", seeing the oldest big store of Hamburg,
the "Alsterhaus", and arrive our endpoint, the "Gänsemarkt".
